Description: This listing is for a 1919 cancelled check from the Chicago Cubs that is signed by William L. Veeck, the President of the team from 1919 until his death in 1933. Under Veeck's leadership, the Cubs won two pennants in 1929 and 1932, and he helped transform Wrigley Field into its present look, with ivy-covered walls and concrete bleachers in the outfield. This check was paid to The Western Union Telegraph Company. The check was endorsed with a stamp on the reverse and is dated June 25, 1919 (06/25/1919), was for $69.16, and measures approximately 8.3 inches x 3.7 inches. This is a great piece of Cubs history and would make a great gift for any Cubs fan or collector. Please see pictures and ask any questions you may have.
