Including a cool looking gazebo. 1910 census shows an Albert Maust as a Wholesale Grain dealer in Falls City. Sanborn maps show a Barber Shop. At the time of this photo this building housed a Bank and a Store. This building burnt down in 1918. According to news accounts: The Lincoln Journal Star reported on October 7, 1918, that an early morning fire destroyed the Richardson County Bank building in Falls City. The building was three stories and occupied by the bank, a drug store, Davies Jewelry Store, Masonic Hall, Doctors Allison and Greene, and several other tenants. The Kramer building next door almost burned to entail a loss of approximately $120,000. The city was virtually without water at the time; otherwise, the fire could easily have been controlled.
