The 1919 Black sox scandle and the rise of Babe Ruth along with intergration in 1947 is perhaps the two biggest moments affecting the future of the game. Chicago Evening Post sportswriter Malcolm MacLean was the man Charles Comiskey personally chose to score the 1919 World Series. He owned and signed this pass see COA letter. Among his duties was to decide every ball hit if it was either an error or a hit. Thus, MacLean was one of the first to figure out that something fishy was up. Presented here for auction is this 1916 Comiskey Park ticket cover press pass signed by Malcolm MacLean (comes with a letter of authenticity on the signature by Steve Grad). Charles Comiskey's stamped signature is also on this, although somewhat faded. This artifact of baseball history came from Malcolm MacLean's personal collection of passes obtained from his estate. 1916 was Shoeless Joe Jackson's 1st season with the White Sox.
