Description: According to her descendant, these items were worn by Katherine Huntington Newton (1892-1913) during her graduation. Katherine went to college at Vassar and on her return to Durham, CT, started her career as a writer. Unfortunately, according to her descendant, Katherine was thrown from a horse and died from an infection shortly after turning 21. The petticoat has “K H Newton” handwritten in two places at the waist band. As seen in the photos, these items are estate-fresh and have not been cleaned. I was wearing a bright pink shirt when taking the listing photos and some of the photos look pink from the reflection. There is discoloration throughout. I tried to point out all the holes/flaws in the photos. The skirt has no fasteners but has button holes. The top of one stocking is finished differently (with sticking) than the other. Thanks for looking! Stocking Measurements: 26” long, 3.75” wide measured flat across Petticoat Measurements: 37” long, 13.5” waist, 23” hips measured straight across
