Description: THE HOUSE OF CORNEWALL by the Right Hon. Cecil G. S., 4th Earl of Liverpool, and Compton Reade A thorough, engaging history of this important British family, following the line from the 13th century to the present (1908). The index lists over 2,000 names which are mentioned in the text. The book remains in quite good shape. At various times it was held in the libraries of two different historical societies, and there are several marks, such as a bookplate inside the front cover and and impress stamp on three pages. For the most part the text is clean and unmarked, with minor signs of age and use. The binding is a weakened but still holding. The covers show some dust as well as touches of fraying at the edges. Still, in average or better condition for a book this age. There was only one small printing of this book, and it is not easy to find in any condition, especially at this low price. A larger volume, 7.5" X 9.75", viii + 318 pages plus 25 illustration plates and one fold-out chart. Laid inside is a 1908 letter from Rev. Albert P. Cornwall, who donated this copy to the Marazion Institute. Ships promptly & securely.
