Description: THE ROSICRUCIAN BROTHERHOOD QUARTERLY From April, 1908, the second issue of the second volume of this esoteric journal founded by Sylvester Clark Gould (1840-1909) in 1907. This was the same year that Gould, in company with George Winslow Plummer, founded the Societas Rosicruciana in America. Along with various articles and book reviews this issue offers the first publication of the "The Second Book of Acts", an alleged lost book of the New Testament. (This is not the book by the same title written by Kenneth Guthrie in 1904.) This rather delicate softcover volume remains in quite good shape. The covers are clean but somewhat rough about the edges, especially along the spine. The text is still firmly bound; it is toned with age but has only minor signs of use. Very rare in any condition. Measures 5.75" X 9.25", 79 pages in all. Ships promptly & securely.
