Description: 3 1/2" wide by 2" tall thin cardboard 2-sided ticket for a circa-1907 era performance by a vaudeville style traveling glass blowing act known as "Lee's Glass Blowers"- I found an ad for this act, out of Kingswood, West Virginia, in the December 28, 1907 issue of Billboard magazine. This act operated like a modern day balloon animal act making handblown little glass animals for the kids in the crowd for a nominal fee of course- Would be a great companion piece for any glass animal collection! The card reads: "Lee's Glass Blowers and Carnival of Wonders. Matinee Ticket. This ticket and FIVE CENTS will admit and child on Saturday Afternoon. Doros open at 1:30. Every one gets a Glass Present FREE. Jack Lee, Mgr." on front and reads: "Program SEE The Glass Blowing. The Funny Punch & Judy. The Sleight of Hand. The Royal Marionettes. SEE" on back-Item is in used condition with usual wear from age and normal use and some bending, still, how many of these throwaway items survived at all? $ 4.95 postage is required. @1907 Kingswood West Virginia Lee's Glass Blowers show ticket glass animal act-- Click images to enlarge Description Check it out...Here's a classic original 3 1/2" wide by 2" tall thin cardboard 2-sided ticket for a circa-1907 era performance by a vaudeville style traveling glass blowing act known as "Lee's Glass Blowers"- I found an ad for this act, out of Kingswood, West Virginia, in the December 28, 1907 issue of Billboard magazine. I think you'll find that we're quite fair. Thank-you! Terms of Sale I try and place a penny in every photo to help judge the size of the item, obviously it is there for size comparison and is not included with the item. The standard sized Lincoln head penny in the photograph is there for size comparison ONLY and is not included in the package. We're just trying to help you figure out how big the item is. We try and always be as accurate as we can in the item description and will gladly answer any question about item size & description when needed. Please e-mail us with any questions BEFORE the end of sale and BEFORE placing a bid. Postage is determined by the U.S. Postal service and is never refundable. Many of the items are VINTAGE and although they are in very fine condition, they may not function as well as when they were made decades ago. So if you intend on using the old item, please be aware that we are selling it for collector value only. In other words, if you intend on using a 50+ year old letter opener and it breaks, don't get mad at us. It may be hard to believe, but we have received a couple negatives because people broke vintage items while trying to use them.
