Description: Up for sale is a one of a kind modified BC Rich Acoustic Electric Bass Guitar. This bass has been modified microtonally to play 19 notes per octave, a tonal system of music that dates back to at least the 16th century. The notes of the 19 tone system are A,A#,Bb,B,B#/Cb,C,C#,Db,D,D#,Eb,E,E#/Fb,F,F#,Gb,G,G#,Ab. The bass has 34 frets. The bass has been properly setup and plays intonated in tune. I believe the strings on this bass are Labella strings I put on it several years ago. The reference dots on the finger board are on the 5th,8th, 11th, 14th, 19th, 24th, 27th, 30th, and 33rd frets. The electrical components in this bass are in working condition. Condition wise the bass is in good shape and has been taken care of, however there are a few condition marks(scuffs, looks like some paint marks). Nothing major. The bass is about 44- 45 inches in length. The distance from the nut to the middle of the 19th fret/(normally 12th fret) is 15 inches, so the scale length is 30 inches. This bass will ship in a soft gig bag wrapped in bubble wrapped, in a bigger box via FedEx. This is a very nice rare instrument, modified properly by a professional luthier. I played it for several years and took care of it, but it is time it goes to another musician. If you have any questions please let me know.
