Description: 18th century Chinese export porcelain puddling bowl (Qing) A very beautiful late Qing (1644-1911) ‘pudding’ bowl with charming freehand brushstroke decoration depicting blossom and flowers. Brown oxide rim. Brushstroke decoration also to underside of rim. These blue and white bowls were often ‘clobbered’ with over-glaze red to imitate Imari ware. Dimensions: 16.5cm diameter x 3.8cm height at rim Weight: 180gm Condition: Excellent with no restoration or damage. Typical small kiln chips to rim at bottom. Good sound when tapped at rim.
