The Treaty of Paris ended the war on December 10, 1898, withSpain losing possession of Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Guam and otherislands. This print portays a dramatic battle scene in which advancing Americantroops overpower enemy soldiers. Two Americans appear to be wounded, and twoSpanish soldiers are presumably dead, while a third is wounded and appears tosurrender. Condition: Good condition, light damp stain along the bottom edge, acouple of light smudges, a bent corner.
