It is from an 1896 edition of Johnson's Universal Cyclopedia, published by A.J. Johnson & Co., New York, 1896. There is a date in the bottom left margin that a previous owner has penciled in. It is from a series of smaller maps that were published in Johnson's cyclopedia, not to be confused with the larger maps from his Family Atlas. It is nicely designed with good detail typical of Johnson's cartography, as well as being more economical for matting and framing. We are selling the single original map that is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main pic. Overall, a beautiful map that would frame up well! Size: The image area measures approximately 5 3/4 by 9 inches (14x23cm) on a page measuring 7 1/4 by 10 3/4" (18x27cm). Condition: The map is in Very Good condition, blank on reverse, with original hand coloring and a centerfold as issued. There is a crease on the upper right corner and some minor cockling, otherwise the map is very clean and would frame up well, see the pics for more on the condition. The pic is of the actual map.
