Description: 1895 LIBERTY "V" NICKEL PCGS MS 64 OLD GREEN HOLDER FLASHY STEELY SILVER WITH A HINT OF BRASS, A BIT MORE PROMINENT ON THE REVERSE. A great strike and surfaces, with very few marks, and just a bit of faint pewter freckling in front of Ms. Lib. Nice for the grade. By no means is this a low mintage, at 9,977,822 coins struck, but the severe economic downturn in the mid '90's assured that most of these issues would be used for their intended purpose, commerce. A super tough date in a series replete with Key Dates, Rare Dates, Semi key Dates, Scarce dates, and maybe one or two so called "common dates".
