Description: No Reserve!!! A very nice quality Stereoview of Wawona Sequoia Tree in Mariposa Grove by Underwood circa 1890s. The view is titled on the front as (58) Wawona, as we drove through it. Mariposa Grove, California, USA. The image shows a horse and carriage with tourists going through this historic tree. The Wawona Tree fell in 1969 under a heavy load of snow on its crown. The giant sequoia is estimated to have been 2,300 years old. The stereo effect of this view is excellent. This stereoview was photographed by Strohmeyer and Wyman who started in New York in the 1880s and their images were mainly published by Underwood and Underwood. I have decided to sell all my Yosemite views at no reserve, please save my userid if you are interested!!!! I will combine shipping with any of my other stereoview auctions AND I will ship internationally I am starting to sell my large collection of Stereoviews (10k left) again after a 2year hiatus.
