Description: Offered here is an original 1890's or earlier Fancy Tools Model Underground Miners Candlestick. Measures 11.50" long. The Thumbpiece has been formed from the Thimble in the form of a Shovel or as the miners called them, a Mucker. Very good work, with the Blacksmith having apparently "rolled" the shovel out of the thimble in one piece. From the collection of a well known Telluride Mining Artifact Collector who held it for many years. A wonderful display piece of Mining History, and these unusual Tools Model Candlesticks are tough to find outside of collections these days. Thanks for looking!
