Description: Star of Bethlehem/ mechanical start/ 8 point star, quilt with possible blood stains and rust marks. Initial “H” hand drawn on back corner. I suspect was made mid 1800s. I had a PhD historian look at it and she guesses mid to late 1800s. It is 60”x60” , very primitive as some of the fabric has broken down over time. It is completely had sewn with cotton wadding visible in places. Please see photos. This would be suitable for collecting, wall hanging in rustic, cabin, civil war decor, primitive decor. It is not suitable for bedding. It likely would fall apart if washed. It is a part of our great American history.
