Minto, who was professor of English Language at the University of Aberdeen. The poems within the selection begin with Scott's ballads and is illustrated with four plate illustrations, illustrated title page and frontispiece. Sir Walter Scott was a Scottish historical novelist and poet and many of his works remain classics of European and Scottish Literature. CONDITION In full calf leather binding. Externally, very smart with only a few light marks to the boards. A little rubbing to the spine and joints. There is a bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound with generally very bright and clean pages with just the odd scattered spot.
