Huey, P.J.Across these words is written the word "Duplicate".From other items found with this one, we know that C. Correll was Chrisitian Correll who lived in Union County, NC. We also know fromwww.civilwardata.comthat he enlisted into the Confederate Army on 2/28/1862 as a sergeant. He was listed as a 37 year-old mechanic. He mustered into co. E of the 48th Infantry and ws later wounded at Fredericksburg and again at Bristoe Station in Virginia on 10/14/1863. He was taken POW on 4/1/1865 at confined at Point Lookout, MD.
