Description: Essentially a late 19th century reference book on the history of America, starting in 478 AD, but focusing on post Columbian, pre-post revolutionary, and a very detailed reference of the 1800’s. With 24 Full page illustrations with facsimile paper on top of each drawing. Very good/ good condition. There is one small rip in an early page and very small cutouts on the following three pages depicted clearly in a photo. Foxing present on inside covers and first and last few pages, and also on the clear facsimile pages along with some of the illustrations. Otherwise the bulk of the book is foxing free. Detailed chronological reference in back of book followed by detailed alphabetical index. First publication of consolidating two volumes into one as the previous publications of 1880 and before were two separate books/ volumes. Though they’re essentially exactly the same except for additional 1880-81 history.
