It is an A-Z description and survey of India divided into 8 volumes. Vols II, V, VI and VII all have the same colour map of India at the front. Vol I covers Abar to Benares. Stains to the front board and chipped to the head and tail of the spine. Small rip in the cloth on the rear board. 544 pages.Vol II covers Bengal to Cutwa; Boards both a little stained. Tear to the top of the spine. 539 pages.Vol III covers Dabha to Harduaganj; some mottling to the cloth. 567 pages.Vol IV covers Hardwar-Jalalpur-Nahvi but has a large section on 'India'; front board is detached and spine covering is detached from the binding block but still attached to the rear board. Cloth rubbed. 716 pagesVol V covers Jalandhar to Kywon-Pya-That; cloth is faded and starting to lift to the front board. Map, half title and title page are detached. 509 pages.Vol VI covers Labanakhya to Mysore; chunk of the spine leather is missing to the head. light marks to the cloth. Front board is pulling between map and first page of text. 531 pagesVol VII covers Naaf to Rangmagiri; a few marks to the cloth and corners bumped. 555 pages.Vol VIII covers Rangoon to Tappal; rear board detached and spine covering is missing. Wear to corners. Front board loose. 537 pages. Binding is quarter dark brown leather on green cloth hardboards. Gilt lettering to the spines. Black endpapers. All volumes measure 23 x 15 cm.
