I'm 99.99% confident this is an 1881 cover as I've seen a similar cancel on a March 2nd cover that had an 1881 transit backstamp. Roughly opened at the left but it is still possible to make out the Southern Fertilizing Company return address. Addressed to E.T. Pierce, who was the Postmaster at News Ferry, VA.
