Description: 1880's Honest John F. Morrill, Boston Red Caps/Beaneaters, Vintage 1(b) Cabinet Photo Measuring3.75" x 4.5". Photo has been affixed to a thick piece of cardboard. A 1(b) designation means that there was an original photo from original negative. The photographer then made some editorial changes and reshoot the photo, thus from a copy negative but still from same time period. Morrill was primarily an infielder but played almost all positions and even pitched. He played for the Boston Red Caps/Beaneaters from 1876-1888, winning three pennants. His last year as a player was 1889 for the Washington Nationals. He would later go on to manage. Photo has some editorial enhancements and some surface wear present but overall in excellent condition.
