Description: Le Salon de la Mode #881, undated (1880s). Original vintage hand-colored fashion print. About 13 x 9 inches. Seaside scene of 7 girls enjoying a day at the beach. The teenager holds an open parasol. Two girls wear sailor-inspired dresses. Edges and corners are crisp. Paper shows a little age toning consistent with age. Central fold typical of prints of this age and size (the magazine in which the print appeared would have been folded in half to go through the mail to the original subscriber); it’s barely noticeable from the front. In very good condition for its age. fp817 All the fashion prints that I sell are original prints issued in ladies’ fashion magazines in the 19th century (1800s). This print is a single unmounted page; I photographed it against a colored background to make the condition of the edges easier to see. Expect some flaws associated with age (typically some combination of age toning to the paper; a few spots/smudges; some edge wear). I describe any additional flaws in each listing.
