Description: Rare in its size and in the amber color, this milk pitcher was produced ca 1885 by the American company Central Glass. The pattern is Lattice and Thumbprint aka Rope Band and Thumbprint. The foot and mouth of the jug are embossed with lattice-work designs and the body has four rows of inverted thumbprints. It is 5 1/4" tall and 4 3/4" spout to handle. Condition is excellent. There are some "straw marks" which happened during manufacture. I also have this pattern in a large water pitcher (see last photo).
