A great find from a local New England estate! This antique volume is over 143 years old! In good condition overall! Original publisher cloth binding shows wear including rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, some staining to the rear board caused by early exposure to moisture, moderate rubbing to the spine, some general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and fraying to the spine extremes, and some rubbing and soiling to the page edges. Otherwise this is a well-preserved antique volume! Internally, this volume is in good shape overall. Both boards and all page groupings remain attached to the binding, though there is visible wear to the inner hinge at spots and a few groupings are a bit loose, though the volume definitely feels sturdy. No bookplates, signatures, inscriptions or library markings to note. The text block of this volume is clean overall. There is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as light soiling and light foxing scattered throughout, as well as some gentle corner creasing in spots, but otherwise this volume is quite clean and remains perfectly readable throughout! Nicely illustrated.
