A great find from a local Massachusetts estate! This antique volume is over 143 years old! A well preserved antique volume! Publisher decorative cloth exterior is in nice shape, showing some minor rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, some minor wear to the joints, minor wear around the extremities, specifically to the spine extremes and corners, and some soiling to the page edges. Gilt lettering to the spine reads easily from the shelf. A well preserved antique volume! Internally this volume is in great shape as well. Both boards and all page groupings remain firmly attached to the binding. No bookplates, signatures, inscriptions, library markings or other blemishes to note. The text block itself is great condition throughout. Pages show light toning from age, and the full page illustrated plates show some damp-staining (which does not extend into the rest of the volume), but otherwise this volume is quite clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings.
