It has Diamond Sunburst pattern embossed around the round font....6 sided petal base....brass threaded collar with brass plate cover on top of font painted black.....8 1/2"tall to collar....17 1/2"tall with burner & chimney...Lamp is in excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage. A nice clean lamp with no haze.....Nickel plated brass QUEEN ANNE SCOVILL MFG CO embossed burner is in good working condition. Glass that contains manganese, when exposed to ultraviolet rays of the sun or other sources of UV rays, causes the glass to turn amethyst. Some of my amethyst bottles and glass are purpled from years of exposure to natural sunlight. Others have been purpled with the use of strong UV lights in a box…and some have been purpled by running them through a water sterilization plant, which is often referred to as being "irradiated". There is however no trace of any radiation or anything harmful I guarantee...
