Description: I have this adventure book published in 1875. It was written under the name Oliver Optic, whose real name was William Taylor Adams. Adams was a teacher, author and a member of the Massachusetts House or Representatives. As an author he wrote numerous adventure books under his pseudonym Oliver Optic. This book was part of his great Western Series and the hero is a young sailor in this book. Book has 350 pages and is intact. Outer cover and binding has wear as shown This was a barn find so book has some wear but over all in good condition considering over 140 years old. Towards the end of the book upper corners of pages appear stained as shown but all writing is clear. As shown writing on the first page was a Christmas gift in 1904. Will ship in 1 business day.
