A few charts, mostly of positions of the Jovian or Saturnian Moons. Condition: Hardbound in quarter leather over pebbled boards. Ex lib with the usual plates, cards and stamps. Black tape at bottom of spine with call number sticker. Scuffing to hinges and small loss of leather at the top of the spine. Moderate wear at extremities of cover. A few light marginal pencil lines. (See photos). Interior is otherwise clean, tightly bound, and unmarked throughout with 12 plates in good condition, including one foldout--and tissue guards protecting each plate. Overall VG+. Information: An informative and unusual old compilation of popular astronomy articles from Germany, in German, with some seldom-seen illustrations. Articles about comets, nebulae, telescopes and observatories, the 1874 Transit of Venus across the sun in December, Sunspots, meteorites and their significance, observations of the moon, etc..
