In fair condition. Moderate wear to extremities with scuffing to leather and areas of peeling. Marbled boards are lightly scuffed with minor abrasions. Tips and end bands are lightly crushed. Later 19th century binding. “Fresh” end papers. Interior exhibits scattered foxing, moderate at times with typical toning. A few small tears with repairs July 1864 - August 1864 issues afflicted with worming at margins (see photos). Does not affect text. A few light pencil marks in margins.
