This International Exhibition was sponsored by the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Trade, and featured over 28,000 exhibitors from 36 countries. The expo was a tremendous popular success, attracting over six million visitors during the run of the expo in 1862. The sheet measures 11.5 x 16.5 inches in size, and is blank on the reverse side. The print is in beautiful condition, with vibrant colors that are bright and sharp. Above the image it is labelled in small print ASIA. PLATE 291. A faint credit line below the image reads: London. Chromolithographed & Published by Day & Son, Lithographers to the Queen. J.B. Waring, direx. The print will be accompanied by a separate full sheet of text related to the lithograph, under the title, Ornament in Gold, Silver, Etc.
