Description: Original circa 1860's-1880's tintype photo showing a farm house with an area to park two carriages to the right. There are seven men in the photo. This large tintype photo measures 5 5/16 inches by 4 1/8 inches which is close to 1/2 plate size. There are assorted minor flaws as usually found on most tintypes such as some slight bends & some minor surface wear from age. Also, there is a vertical area of wear through the middle. Also, the four corners have numerous bumps & bends & are somewhat banged around. The entire back has lost the emulsion coating & the back surface is entirely covered in oxidation which is slightly rough to the touch. This interesting photo came from an old Pennsylvania collection of tintypes which was formed over several decades. Please examine the photos closely & purchase based on your own judgement as to condition & value. This item is inventory #9951.
