Description: Original circa 1860's-1880's tintype photo showing farm buildings. Ten people (some with tools) stand on the porch of the front building. This large tintype photo measures 5 5/8 inches by 4 3/16 inches which is approximately 1/2 plate size. There are assorted minor flaws as usually found on most tintypes such as some slight bends & some minor surface wear from age. When held at an angle in bright light signs are present that indicate this once had an oval paper matt. The back has a few areas of slight surface oxidation. We have put a sticker on the back to cover up a small sticky area on the surface which was left from an earlier sticker. This interesting photo came from an old Pennsylvania collection of tintypes which was formed over several decades.
