In my opinion this Extremely RARE variety 1858-O MPD (WB-105, Errant 8 in Rock, Breen-4885) Seated Liberty Half Dollar 50c is in nice Very Fine to Extremely Fine (VF/XF) circulated condition, with FULL Liberty and Sharp Devices, as you can see from the photos. A nice Mid to High Grade example of this very rare variety, with a sharp Variety Indicator of the easily seen remnants of an Errant 8 in the Rock above the date. A Very Sharp Variety Indicator! The lower third loop of an errant 8 is suspended in the rock above the prominent second 8 just below the hem of the skirt. There are also remnants of something (top loop of an 8?) in the denticles below the 58 in the date. A very difficult variety to locate, and highly sought after rarity. I don't know if this coin has been cleaned or not, but most coins have been cleaned some way in their past, so to avoid any misunderstandings, PLEASE assume it has been cleaned.
