Description: RARE gun book, an early encyclopedia of sorts. Near VERY GOOD Condition pliable hardcover- title page replicated on front cover. The book has moderate soiling to the binding, page edges, front pastedown, & title page. Title page & rear pastedown both have former owner stamp. The interior is largely fairly clean with some occasional spots with soiling, smudges, or foxing. The PLATES are very nice. Firstly, the plates are printed on one continuous sheet, the exact equivalent of two pages, BUT they are NOT CUT (thus not fully separated) in the middle. The plates are on a full sheet which folds in the middle, but each plate is printed on a thicker paper, basically a high quality, almost card stock which is largely resistant to foxing. There are no torn or missing pages that I could find & all 32 plates are present & fold nicely with no separations in the middle. The binding is akin to a sturdy softcover or 'stiff wrappers' & is surprisingly tight, firm & square with the hinges starting.
