George Street Briscoe (1835-1922) was a minister. He studied for the ministry at Amherst College, and was ordained in 1861 at Grafton, MA, where his father was a minister at the Congregational Church. George Briscoe served as a pastor in Minnesota from 1861 to 1867, before going to Iowa in 1868. In the 1870s he served churches in Wisconsin and Nebraska.
