Boards are scuffed at edges & worn/bumped at corners. Front hinge is split - cording exposed. Head an tail of spine lacking. All edges gilt. Gilt lettering and bordering exhibits rubbing, but overall bright and clean. Blue marbled end-papers and gilt dentelles bright and clean. Moderate toning and foxing throughout text-block, especially to plates and tissue guards. Some tissue guards are lacking. No known previous ownership or marginalia. Off-setting exhibited. Binding is intact, but fragile at front hinge. Please see photos. Hand-colored plates are all present & in good condition. Colors are bright and clean, with a small amount of foxing around edges - but does not impede beauty of colors. Also includes views of Peekskill Landing, Hudson, Wall St. and Lake George. Hand colored botanical plates by L.W. Moody include Strawberry, Rose, Wild Columbine, Geranium, African Pink, Musk Mallow, White Lily, and Blue Hyacinth.
