Description: Between 1836 and 1844 Thomas Mckenney and James Hall published "The History of the Indian Tribes of North America", a 3-volume folio collection of Native American biographies and accompanying lithographic portraits. This powerful image of the Chippewa Chief Jack-o-pa is "entered according to act of Congress in the year 1843 by James G. Clark." Sheet size: 20" x 14 1/4" in archival mat to: 24" x 18".
