This extremely rare book featured illustrations from around the world including Europe (with a section of Spanish bull-fighting), the Americas, India and Africa, as well as hunting whales and the additional section for New South Wales Aborigines. As the 1st Edition, the complete book sells for between 5,000 - 9,000 depending on condition. Don't be fooled by similar looking prints which were issued in the 1840s. They are not aquatint and the printing is much poorer quality. Overall plate size is approx 275mm x 220mm with very large margins, perfect for mounting and framing.
