These values can be seen as key themes in many of his works. Contains his most famous work The Wanderer of Switzerland divided into six parts written in 7-syllable cross-rhymed quatrains. The poem addressed the French annexation of Switzerland and was highly recommended by Lord Byron. CONDITION In a tree calf binding with gilt design to the spine. Externally, sound with slight marks to the spine, and shelfwear to extremities. Hinges are strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound with bright pages. Intermittently clean with only occasional instances of spotting. Copperplate ink inscription to the front pastedown.
