Description: 1800s Wool Mennonite Amish Star Quilt RARE I purchased this about a year ago from a high end antique quilt dealer. It was found on the east coast and sold as a Mennonite, possibly Amish, quilt, circa late 1800s. The entire quilt is done out of a twill woolen material. The back is a polished cotton. Hand quilted entirely. It shows signs of age as a few small holes throughout. The binding shows wear and the back shows sun fading. Overall these are very minor and the quilt is heavy and strong. It has not bee washed and has been stored in a plastic bin with cedar and moisture control sachets. I can provide measurments tomorrow but its about 4-5' square. Basically for a twin bed but not twin sized.
