Description: This is a lot of three antique maps/ map pages from the 1800s featuring Illinois counties and cities, most noticeably Stephenson county, which is featured in all three (such as the county itself or the city of Freeport). This map was purchased as an 1876 map. I’m not quite sure where the date is indicated, though it does appear that this map was once part of some larger publication due to the “32” and “33” in the corners. CONDITION: This map has discoloration and yellowing from age. There are noticeable tears olongapo the edges, a small chunk of one corner is missing, and some discolored tape along the top. Along the bottom, this map states the year 1869. This map also appears to have been once pulled from a larger publication due to what looks like damage from being pulled out of a binding on one edge as well as the “16” in the corner that is likely a page number. CONDITION: This map has noticeable yellowing and discoloration from age. There are tears along the top (appears to be from binding). The paper is very old and brittle. Camp Scott — Freeport, Illinois appears to be the relevant illustration. Also featured is Fort Wayne of Detroit in Michigan, Captain Saler’s encampment west of St. Louis in Missouri, Alexandria (Virginia?), and the (Gulf of Mexico?). xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The badly damaged photo is a Class of 1882 Freeport Consistory photo. Unfortunately, this photo was packaged poorly when shipped to my family, and it got bent in the mail in such a way that there is a huge tear through the center of the photo. The photo frame which features the names of the men is ridiculously brittle such that it almost appears to fall a little more apart simply when one looks at it. However, I did not feel right discarding such an old photo, and I hope perhaps a collector of Stephenson County and/or Illinois items might know what to do with it. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx SHIPPING: I will mail within three days of receiving payment via USPS.
