Description: Heavily circulated example of the S-152 variety of the 1798/7 overdate. Three overdates have been categorized, and each one just a little different. This coin happens to be the third and last recognized, the S-152. Diagnostics are worn, however one can still make out remaining remnants, the two upper points of the "7" above the upper loop of the "8", along with the flat top of the "8" digit. Other die markers, mainly very small die cracks and minute cuds and cud dots in front of the neck between the chin and breast that are die-specific, also secure the attribution.
