Description: ~*~ Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk! ~*~ A timeworn, aged, distressed treat ~ this textile dates form the late 1700s it would have hung as a bed curtain valance ~*~ Its made using a medium weight cotton, woven so wonderfully! ~*~ This fabric is a Vichy Check, produced in an area outside of Paris called Vichy . The top has the original, 18th century brass rings for hanging ( 6 of them, they are gorgeous!~ This panel can be hung as is in a timeworn interior to make a fabulous statement piece. lovely too for making pillows etc ~ this fabric was seen all over the country as it was an inexpensive purchase, hence our association of the check with the country look! ~The bottom third is in the best condition , the top 2/3 is timeworn with many holes ~*~ MEASUREMENTS: This textile measures approximately: 101 inches long by 31 inches CONDITION : Ive freshly laundered this lovely textile and its ready to use. There are some wonderful hand stitched mends. There are many holes, its very important to use the zoom feature on the photographs to view condition closely!
