With title page significantly trimmed to perimeters, and laid down on a new leaf.The second work is a 1758 edition of 'The Whole Book of Psalms', collected into English metre by Thomas Sternhold, John Hopkins, and others.ESTC T88835. With final leaf of D12, as called for.With the inscription of John James Metcalfe to the front free endpaper.Endpapers renewed.An attractively bound edition of these key Anglican texts. CONDITION In a full tree calf binding, with gilt detailing to board perimeters. Rubbing to back strip. Small losses of leather to back strip head and tail. Head of front joint starting, with board a touch tender. Endpapers renewed. Inscription to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Title page of volume I significantly trimmed to perimeters, and laid down on a new leaf. Pages lightly age toned, but generally clean, with the odd light handling mark.
