Description: Description These wonderful tiles were salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian. The are marked A E tile co limited, American Encaustic. They were originally around the inside of a fireplace mantel. They have a brown glaze with raised vines, swirls in the background and a crackled glaze. 15 tiles measure 6 inches square, the bottom 2 were trimmed to 5.25 tall. Your bid buys these 17 tiles, the inside tiles are not included. Overall they are in good condition. They will need to be cleaned. There are corner, surface and edge dings, they have small paint splatters on the faces. 1 tile was broken, we have both parts. Please look at the pictures carefully. Ref: 122409 Shipping. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job!
