Description: 16’ toroidal parachute that was custom manufactured by Spherachutes for Flirtey. These were made for delivery drones with a maximum takeoff weight of about 18 kg. For this use case a slow decent rate was needed for safety. Highest quality materials and light weight. 0.67 oz nylon. Under 2 lbs. The chute shown spread out in the photos is an identical chute that has been deployed. It represents what these brand new chutes look like. These chutes are new and never removed from the bag. The toroidal design has excellent Cd of around 2.2 and is used where weight and packing volume are important. These also chutes have 4 short lines that were intended to be pulled out by projectiles for rapid deployment, however these can be easily cut off or just not used. If you know anything about aerospace quality parachutes you can recognize the value here. When these are gone, they’re gone.
