Description: I want to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. THIS IS MY LAST ONE! This is the second kit in the long line of Orange Super Value Packs from Cyber Hobby (Dragon) that have become very hard to find. Cyber Hobby selected the British Firefly Ic version of M4 Sherman Tank with its powerful 17-pounder anti-tank gun which was greatly feared (and targeted) by German tankers. This Super Value Pack kit is a repackaging (and updating) of the very successful Dragon Firefly Ic Hybrid Hull kit (#9037) with the bonus of a highly detailed set of DS (Dragon Styrene) one-piece tracks, a finely molded anti-aircraft MG and four British Paratrooper figures from 1944 (Master Box #3534). I could only find one listing for this kit on eBay (hard-to-find), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this very quickly. Here is some of the info I found from around the web for this rare kit: The cyber-hobby.com site no longer has a page for this kit, so I assume it has been Discontinued or is Out of Production. From other sources, I have found the following information about this kit: The M4 Sherman was developed as the successor to the M2 and M3 tanks, although it used many of the latter's components. First of all, it only used a slightly changed chassis of the M3 Lee car. When designing the M4 Sherman, the emphasis was primarily on playing the role of an infantry support vehicle, and not fighting enemy tanks - this was the role of American tank destroyers. A significant role was also played in the mass production of the new tank and the lowest possible production costs. Many development versions were created in the course of serial production M4 Sherman. The M4 Sherman was also supplied in huge numbers to the British and Red Army. The former developed a version of the Firefly based on it, with a great 17-pounder anti-tank gun. - Value Added DS T-48 tracks- Additional anti-aircraft machine gun mounted on turret roof- Bonus Figures Set: British Paratroopers, 1944 (by Master Box) Scalemates.com shows that this is a 2009 release (with new parts) based on the original Dragon Firefly Ic Hybrid Hull kit (DML #9037) from 1996. They have the box art and links to aftermarket parts and references that could be helpful. CW Modelling posted a 1-hour complete Build Review on YouTube that quickly shows the parts coming out of the box. He used plenty of aftermarket products, but you still get a good sense of what the kit comes with. There is no narration, but periodically captions appear to explain what is going on. I didn’t watch the whole thing, but when you skip to the end, you can see the masterfully finished product. DutchModeling published a lengthy (30-minute) Unboxing Review video on YouTube for the parent Firefly Ic Hybrid Hull kit (DML #9037). He provides a spin around the box before starting in on the instructions. The sprues come out next and he points out the details on key parts. This kit had individual track links instead of the one-piece DS tracks, but the kit is nearly identical to the one in this listing. This kit is in a large, sturdy box about 15” x 9.5” x 3”. As you can see from the pictures, the package is in immaculate shape and still sealed with the original shrink wrap, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete injection molded plastic model kit with over 150 grey and clear plastic parts, a fret of photo etched metal parts, a pair of one-piece DS T-48 tracks, a sheet of decals and a bonus set of four British Paratrooper figures from 1944 (Master Box #3534). It requires cement and paint to complete as shown. I use eBay Managed Payments, but I no longer ship internationally. Auction winner pays winning bid and for a limited time, this item is offered with $9 Flat Rate Shipping in the US! No reserve and a low starting bid. Check out my other great auctions for combined shipping. Good luck! Those familiar with my listings can tell that I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to provide more than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you into discovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is your goal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder). As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almost always sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only open them when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products available to my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, there are probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists than buying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, my goal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item in factory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
