This beam has been lightly brushed to remove splinters and smooth out, then stained. Notice the END GRAINS. This is a SOLID beam, not a box made to LOOK like a beam. I can cut to desired length and square off ends if you desire. Just let me know when you purchase. The wood beam is from electric utility lines that were erected in 50's.
