The ratchet handle has a metallic appearance. The height is adjustable to 3 positions. The hole in the frame for the ratchet handle is square. Please line them up correctly before inserting. The ratchet handles are quite small. I double-check all parts before shipping, please open the package in an area where things won't get lost easily. If you plan to paint these diorama jack stands, a thin coat of primer before paint is highly recommended. Without primer the paint may not adhere properly and chip off.
