Description: Brand new American made 11-slot knife block. These blocks are made in a small family shop in Kentucky where the owners really care about making the best possible product. These are a traditional style solid maple knife blocks that will fit under kitchen cabinets and will hold 10 inch long chef's knives. The quality of these blocks can be discerned in the small details, like the hand chamfering of the edges, and the graduated thickness of the slots, so that the upper slots will hold thicker knives than the lower slots. The width of the slots are, from the top left: 3 1/4" (the steel cutout is 5/8" wide) and 2 1/8". Second row: 2 1/8" and 1 1/2", Third row: 1 5/8" and 2". Fourth row: 2" and 1 7/16". Bottom row: 3 slots, each 1 1/4" wide. The first two rows have slots that are .125" thick, and the upper three rows are .140" thick. Overall size of the block is 9 1/4" high, 12" wide and 4 1/2" deep.
